![]() Chinese Economy The Chinese only start with a single Monk, however China may start with more villagers or a different unit like they have in previous Age of Empires games. Chinas economy is standard, with access to Plantations and Mills. China has five unique Wonders to choose from to advance in age, of which none are known about right now. Chinese Military The Chinese invented Gunpowder and the game will most likely adequately reflect this. China has access to musket-like units, Chu-Ko-Nu (a Crossbowman armed with a repeating crossbow for high rate of fire), many different kinds of Artillery, a Dopplesoldner-like melee unit, as well as Mongol Light Cavalry (both ranged and melee) and Sung Heavy Cavalry. ![]() India's Economy India's Economy is very unique because Indian villagers cost Wood instead of Food. This presents a challenge because not only does Wood gather much slower than food, but you must gather it and the required resources to build a wonder in order to advance in age. India has access to Wonders such as the Taj Mahal, which grants a Cease Fire ability, and the Agra Fort, a defence building similar to the European Fort. India starts the game with two Monks (Asian equivilant of the Explorer), and later on these Monks can be seen riding Elephants. India's Military India brings the triumphant return of the almighty War Elephant! India will field many different kinds of Elephants, from Siege Elephants outfitted with cannondry, to Manout Elephants armed with Swords and Spears. India will also have access to foot soldiers such as a Janissary-like warrior and a fast-moving melee warrior. India will also have a Camel rider which is presumably their equivilant of the Hussar. ![]() Japanese Economy Little is known about the Japanese Economy except that they start with two Monks, the equivilant of European Explorers. Japan's villagers will most likely cost the same as European Settlers, 100 Food. Japan has the ability to build Plantations and Mill equivilants when adequate resources are gone. Japan has five unique Wonders to choose from, the only one that is known is a Wonder that grants you a Daimyo. The Japanese can build a Consulate to ally with European powers. Japanese Military Japan's military will be composed of the legendary Samurai (both foot soldiers and mounted cavalry), Daimyo and Shoguns. From screenshots we can see that Japan will have access to Archers, a Musketeer-like warrior, and cavalry archers. Japan's units will be expensive but powerful. Hi Sweetz,
On the little graphic we can see clearly they talk about the Japan of the 16th Century, so the Scenario aswell as the units will come from the 100-year War "Sengoku Jidaļ", during which I was Oda Nobunaga, one of the 9 most famous Daimyo. Being Lord of Destruction gave Me the right to be First Samurai, and to Destroy the Bushido cause it was evil, and I also unified Japan, but couldn't have the credit because this is not My World so Our Father would never allow it ! Thank you very much for this short briefing on the new civs, Sweetz !!! ############################################################################### Eskaton - Leader of LLLD - Destroyer of Worlds This post has been edited by Eskaton on Jul 17 2007, 01:36 AM Attached Image ![]() -------------------- "The Wolf is Master of Illusion, and so is Wolf of Destruction...." |
