____________
The Great Plains offer a wide-open landscape build for frenetic land warfare. Food is plentifull ; the Great Plains Map is filled with herds of bison. Build your deck with Home City Cards that benefit your hunters---such as Furrier and Spice Trade---and research Hunting Dogs early in the game. Herd the bison toward your town to keep settlers safer from enemy raiding parties.
A number of Commanche and Lakota settlements are scattered around the map, there's also a traderoute that stretches between players in one-on-one matches. Both the Comanche and Lakota offer strong improvements to cavalry units ( hit points, speed, and trainingrate), making them a great ally for cavalry based civilizations. Complement these improvements with Home City cards that further improve cavalry, and plan to raid your enemy's settlers while booming settlers with the map's plentiful food.

Overview: Quite an open battlefield with small patches of trees here and there which you can use to your advantage during battle. Hunting is good as there is large batches of bison dotted around the map. There are small patches of trees around the map but a majority of the trees are around the edge of the map. The traderoute has 3 Tradeposts on it always, 1 of which is right next to your towncenter and the other one is halfway up the map.
